F-Curves are making the movement. Set the key frames so they don’t have easing that moves the camera.
You can do this in the timeline.
Or just right click on the camera in the object manager and select F-Curves.

Just pick what F(1-4) that you want it to be and in the cameras tab of the actual window choose FRONT then you will be good to go.

I made a quick tip tutorial this morning that covers some of the basic key board shorts cuts that may be interesting for someone.

I think you are going to have render each aspect out seperate or at least of different passses and comp them in another application where you can adjust them a little finer.

If you place a gradient in the alpha channel you can animate the knots by control clicking the little circle next to it.

Or you can try the Display tag but it controls the whole object not just the material.

February 25, 2010 at 7:19 pm in reply to: Alternatives to Morph Target

Can you not Animate a tube with a deformer or two on it?
Can you simply key frame the scale of a selection?

    Or:
You can use PLA but it would be very difficult to repeat of make changes….so
You could connect all the points you want to move to nulls in xpresso then plug the nulls into a user data slider. The user data slider would have to be adjusted but it would work similar to morph target.

I am sure there are more ways.

February 24, 2010 at 8:46 pm in reply to: Merging multiple shapes into one

I am sure there is a better way but i would make all the shapes editable, then Connect them, then select all the outside geometry, then invert the selection and press delete. Then with the object selected I would run an optimize command while in point mode to get rid of all the stray points.

In the sweep nurns attributes there is END GROWTH it is default to 100%. THats what you want to animate.
I made a five minute tutorial on how i would set it up including a user data slider incase you have several thing you want to control.

I would just do it with a sweep nurbs that gets aniamted. Then apply a nice water texture to it (bump and displacment.
It you need a little running water. You can do this with a simple emitter and a gravity effector. THen you add a motion blur tag and set it to vector blur.
