Is your sequence fully rendered before output?

Take a look at the Apple Pro Training Series (Amazon.com, etc.) Excellent tutorials on everything and the texts for Apple certification. Can’t go wrong with these.

I have the same computer configuration and am using Qmaster successfully; the only difference between my setup and yours is that I do NOT have “Managed” checked in the Qmaster pane for Rendering and Compressor. Try deselecting those and see if it makes any difference. You might also want to reduce the number of instances from 8 to 7 (16 to 14). GIve it a try – hope it helps.

When you look at a STEREO PAIR (in the viewer), a -1 in the pan field means the upper track is panned full left and the lower track is panned full right. If you look at an INDIVIDUAL track (in the viewer or audio mixer, for examples), -1 will mean panned full left and +1 will mean panned full right. Is this not what you’re hearing?

Hi Dave,
All I can think of is to make absolutely sure the INPUT SELECT switch on the front panel is FIRMLY in the DV position. It is conceivable that that switch is electrically sitting on the “DV / S_VIDEO” fence, so to speak. Hope that helps.

Have you tried double-clicking on the application icon itself, in the apps folder? Sometimes a dock icon becomes disassociated with the application it represents. Worth a try…
