Hi Marc,
It’s not 100 percent clear to me why you are having this experience with our support. Typically our responds quickly and resolves matters in a polished and professional manner. What might have happened is that your message to them may have been misdirected into a spam folder – or perhaps the reverse is true, meaning that our reply might not have made it through your spam filtering. You might want to resend using a different source email address and see if that helps. Of you can email me directly and I can redirect it for you. You an reach me at peterm@borisfx.com. Hi,
You can use “Constant” interpolation mode to eliminate the problem that you are having with setting the same values at the start and the end of the effect. To set a parameter to use Constant keyframing, click in the keyframe interpolation box and select Constant from the pop-up list.
I hope this helps.
Cheers,Peter.

January 25, 2011 at 5:45 pm in reply to: Boris and AvidFX can’t move tracks up and downHi Scott,
I just tried an identical system set up and had no problems moving layers up or down in the layer stack. I wonder if there is a permissions issue at hand or perhaps something about the installation that is causing this problem to appear.
I’m going to suggest that you get in touch with one of our tech support gurus who can assist you in sleuthing the issue and solving the problem. You can reach them via email at support@borisfx.com.
Cheers,
Peter.

Hi Michael,
We’re not able to reproduce the problem that you are reporting here with any of the media on hand – perhaps you could send us a project with some media where you are able to clearly see the problem. I’d like to ask you to move this over to support so that someone there can assist you in resolving the issue. You can contact them via email at this address: support@borisfx.com.
Cheers,

January 14, 2011 at 2:38 pm in reply to: Match Move Motion Tracker only tracks from the start in Vegas 10 timelineHi Robert,
So here’s the explaination for what you are seeing.
Because BCC MatchMove is a multi-input filter, it uses the Composite Mode to exist and when in Composite Mode Vegas reads the entire timeline as one event. That’s why you are only seeing this behavior with certain filters. This leaves you with two options:
• Use a nested sequence
or
• Offset the Tracking Start Time in the filter by setting the Start Tracking Frame parameter value (in the Motion Tracker group of controls) to the corresponding frame value from the timeline. For instance, I placed a clip in a timeline with the media head at 39;13. Then I added the BCC Match Move filter. Then I set the Start Tracking Frame parameter to a value of 1183 and enabled Track on the Fly and started tracking.
I hope this helps,
Cheers,
Peter.

January 14, 2011 at 2:09 pm in reply to: Match Move Motion Tracker only tracks from the start in Vegas 10 timelineHi John,
You hit the nail on the head – all that is required by the motion tracker is that the play head be at the start of the media event. The media can exist anywhere on the timeline.
Cheers,
Peter.

I’m at a loss really as to how to explain the differences in what you are seeing on your system and what I am seeing on my system. All I can tell you is that I used the following steps to generate the effect:
• Add clip to timeline
• Apply filter to clip
• Enable shatter deformer
• Set Time Mode pop-up to Manual
• set a keyframe at the start of the clip with a value of 0
• Move to the middle of the clip – set another keyframe here with a value of 0
• Move toward the end of the clip – set a keyframe with a value of 6
• Scrub clip and observe result – the shatter effect should begin at the location of the second keyframe and the image should shatter away as you progress further along the clipHave you tried these Steps? If so, what is the result?
Cheers,
Peter.
