I’m trying to use BCC Extruded Text in the Boris FX but I don’t understand all of the terminology, like in this message:

“Unable to locate the following file:
    Static Style Text
Please consult the help docs for guidance on replacing the missing file.
(or simply choose an alternate map.)”

What is “Static Style Text” and “alternate map”?
I’m working on the Avid Composer but have problem to locate the Boris FX Help

Sorry for confusing terms, I agree they should be corrected. I believe in this case the filter is missing the original EPS file that was used when it was initially created. Simply choose this EPS file again via file button (I do not have Avid in front of me at the moment so my terms are loose too). The help pdf should be available via help button. It is possible though that they have been moved from the default location in which case help files will not appear. See if you can find them on your hard drive.

    Avi,
I am in the process of making a series of video tutorials about using the BCC 3D Object filters in Media Composer, mainly on the 3D extruded text filter.
Send me a PM from the Avid Forums, or email me direct and I will inform you about them.
    Regards,
    Douglas
