To make the rotate around it’s center axis without a wobble, you should set the built-in camera to orbit mode and animate the orbit spin parameter.

Hi Petr,

That effect shouldn’t be that difficult to emulate in BCC.

• Apply the BCC Pyramid Blur to the clip
• Go to the PixelChooser
• Set it to On
• Go to the PC Region control group
• Select Outside Rectangle from the Shape pop-up
• Twirl down the Region controls and drag them until you see that the blur is on the top and bottom only
• Increase the Region Blend value so that the edges of the focus field are soft

Done!

Here are the steps:

• Apply a filter to a clip in the timeline
• Go to the Video Event FX window
• Scroll down to the PixelChooser pop-up in the filter controls, click on it and select “On” from the list
• Twirl down the PC Region and click on the Shape pop-up – select a shape from the list – you might want to start with Inside Rectangle
• Twirl down the Point 1 control and drag the position marker to set the top left mask region and observe how it affects the mask
• Repeat with Point 2 control

You can also use the pixels in the image clip to make a matte via the PC Matte group

Hi Ralph,

The version of Boris Transfer software that you are using is not up to date. We released v 3.0.3 on Monday of this week – you are using v 3.0.1. One of the issues that was specifically addressed with the 3.0.3 release was the “Volumes” error that you encountered.

With that, I’d like to suggest that you download and install the 3.0.3 version of Transfer AE and try reimporting the sequence. If you are still having problems with the transferred sequence, please feel free to contact one of our tech support gurus via email at support@borisfx.com. They would be more than happy to assist you with this.

Hi Stewart,

A decision was made that the filters which you mentioned were not going to be included for BCC 7 in Sony Vegas Pro because it was felt that they would not be all that useful in that particular host. You message regarding their absence provides contradictory evidence to that opinion and with that, I’ll start an internal discussion to see if they can be added to the filter package for that host.

Meanwhile, you can find the missing filters as a part of Boris RED, which is available for Sony Vegas and can be downloaded from our web site.

Hi Tom,

The reason for this is that RED 5 in it’s current incarnation is not built to run in 64 bit applications on the Mac platform. On Windows this work has been done and RED installs and operates as expected in that environment, but the Mac port remains a work in progress. Having said that, the work is close to completion and once it is ready, you will be able to install and operate RED 5 on Mac CS 5 +. I hope this helps explain the situation.
