To make an extreme slow motion effect which is longer than the source clip using BCC Optical Flow I read the manual that I’m supposed to create an empty event of desired length, add Optical Flow to the empty event, and then indicate the source layer.

This does not seem to work for me on Vegas 10 – has anyone had any success – the Souce Layer pop-up shows only Source Layer, is this feature not enabled in BCC for Vegas or am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks,
    Magnus

    Hi Magnus,

What happens when you apply the filter directly to the clip that you want to slow down?

    Cheers,

    Peter.

As far as I can see (and I would love to be proven wrong) you cannot create a slow-mo clip longer than the source clip. the docs are not written for Vegas – you cannot select the source layer as suggested in the documentation in Vegas.
