Hi Justin,

to my knowledge, FCP 7 and Resolve don’t work with P2 mxf. You’ll need to log and transfer, or relink to a different media source.

I’m sure other users will have a good workflow but I don’t believe Premiere is at fault here.

It appears your using CS6. This is a Premiere Pro CC feature.

Yes 16GB will be very beneficial running Premiere Pro. If you have the model with the GT 650M make sure you update to the latest CUDA driver.

Hi David,

There’s a few ways to go about this if:

1. If you have a red line over your Timeline, pressing the return key will render the red area.

2. If you have a yellow line over your Timeline, you can make a in and out point over the area you want to be rendered, choose Sequence> Render In to Out

3. From the Timeline panel menu select Work Area Bar. Drag the Work Area Bar over the area you want rendered choose Sequence> Render Work Area or Render Effects in Work Area

Audio Clip Names are off by default in Premiere Pro CC. To turn them on go to the Timeline Display Settings (wrench icon) select Show Audio Names.
