October 26, 2017 at 9:44 pm in reply to: Mono vs discrete multichannel audio for archiving purposesHi Paul,
I think you’re pretty much spot on. I don’t believe there’s a difference. I’ll let you know if I find out any more. What I’ve been told is, the setting is how the metadata is handled in the file. Mono is treated as Mono, meaning that certain playback systems will play it out over each speaker. Discrete means that there is no channel information added (i.e., unlabeled).
Hopefully, that’s (kinda) helpful?

Hi Kuljeet ,
Can you please send me a screenshot of the about menu as well? You should definitely have “Essential Graphics” listed under the Window menu.
Sorry for the troubles. Once I see the about menu we’ll figure out next steps.
Thanks!

October 24, 2017 at 5:02 pm in reply to: NVIDIA Card with Yosemite and Premiere causing major graphics failureHi Jon,
The GPU seems to be working correctly based on what you described (performance increased processing GPU effects/Rendering). I’ll include a very helpful article below that goes into detail about how CUDA and OpenCL are utilized in Premiere Pro and After Effects but here’s a quick overview.
Premiere will take advantage of the GPU in the following cases: Scaling, Deinterlacing, GPU supported effects, Blend modes, Color space conversions and supported RAW formats for debayering.
Help this helps! Please refer to the link below for more info:

Hi Guys,
Since I know, you’re using Frame.io I thought I’d pass this along

Not exactly sure what the error means. Does this error and lag always occur? Is your media on a fast drive? I’d try clearing all cache files and creating a new project.
Let us know if you continue to encounter this.

Hi All,
There was additional work with the latest PPro release to reduce project opening time. There is no project file size limit. There are a few things that can cause the project size to increase, Warp Stabilizer, Mask tracking, and Master clip LUTs.

[Eric Merklein] “I wish that Adobe would have webinar meetups from time to time so that we editors can talk to Adobe developers.”
Hi Eric,
You can never have enough meetups. We just hosted Adobe Video World where product managers, designers, and engineers all attended and discussed roadmaps, features and best practices. It was very fun!
We recently started doing live streams series. There’s a 3 part series coming up covering graphics workflow. In these live streams often folks from the engineering and product will attend and answer questions.
Hope you find those helpful. Send any feedback my way.

Hi Kuljeet,
Were you able to find the Essential Graphics Panel? There are some very cool new features (Responsive Design Time ) in the latest release.

Hi Harry,
Are you still encountering this issue? Have you updated to the latest PPro and AE version? As James mentioned, sometimes opening AE first or saving the AE comp will cause dynamic link to work correctly.
Let us know if you need any further help.
