I’ve been using frame.io for awhile as my main client video review site as well as a collaboration tool with my business partner and it has been working very well.

However, I only recently realized that the change notes that clients add to the review versions of video projects on the frame.io website can also be imported directly into my premiere sequence and appear as timeline markers with all of the text notations intact. In order to take advantage of this feature you just need to add the frame.io extension into Premiere. Overall, these features are making the client review process very streamlined.

Prior to incorporating frame.io into my workflow I would receive change notes from clients in email form and often times the email thread would get quite long if multiple people were involved in the video review process. This was a very inefficient video review system.

I have no personal stake in frame.io whatsoever. It’s just a solid product and it can streamline the video review process so it’s a great tool to add into an editor’s workflow.

We’ve been using it since April with the Premier interface and love it, particularly since they introduced sharing files that don’t need a password, which make some of our clients very happy.

Anybody else having problems with the premiere frame.io extension? Sometimes, on big files, it’ll hang on the upload and I need to close the panel and restart the whole process.

There is also an issue where the panel position is all over the place.
