Click the stopwatch to enter the initial keyframe. Keyframes will be automatically entered when you change the position settings or you can click the diamond to enter a keyframe without changing any settings.

Used to could do that very thing with Clipnotes. The most dangerous approval tool I’ve ever used. Had one producer forward the email/.pdf to what seemed like everyone in the agency (who all naturally had to comment). Imported the return xml and ended up with like 50 comments on a :30 timeline. Never again.

I had that same problem. Trashed the old AAM and downloaded the new one and everything worked fine. The old worked just fine until it just didn’t. I don’t think there was anything too tricky about getting the new one. Just a bit of a hassle.
I noticed the problem when the last Speedgrade update got pushed out. Couldn’t get it updated because of the flakey AAM.

Take the Matrox box out of the mix and try it.

Are you able to drag a clip (just the clip) into Media Encoder? Are you able to import a single clip into After Effects?

You’ll want a 15″ to be sure you get a quadcore i7. Then you want a SSD or 7200rpm disc for your system drive. At least 8 gig of ram with a preference of 16. Firewire 800, Thunderbolt or even usb 3.0 for your media drives (7200rpm preferred). That’ll do everything you want CS6 to do and more.

Download the trial versions and see what you think. You’ll get full function for 30 days with each. Should be time to for you to put it through some real world paces. FCPX or PPRO (and the suite) will do you just fine.
