Latest Mac Book Pros with Premiere?
HI There,
I’m looking for some advice on the latest Macbook pros and if they work well with Premiere, After effects etc…
I look at the required specs and compare on the Mac website and things don’t seem to match so I am feeling slightly paranoid about jumping in without any advice
If anyone has bought one and is using them I would love your thoughts and specs as I’m feeling a tad overwhelmed with getting this ‘right’!
We will be shooting HD videos for web… possibly just in 720 P but need to prepare for 1080 as well..

The director I worked with the other day bought one of the retinas and when he showed me how well it ran I got jealous.
He had effects, grading on 2 layers of video which was AVCHD 1080p and it ran in real time.
I have a 2008 8core Mac Pro with a NIVIDEA Quadro 4000 and it can’t pull in off.
If you don’t need to work with 4K any time soon you’ll be very happy with the new retinas.
I personally going to wait for the 2013 MacPro. I hope it’s 4K ready. -
You’ll want a 15″ to be sure you get a quadcore i7. Then you want a SSD or 7200rpm disc for your system drive. At least 8 gig of ram with a preference of 16. Firewire 800, Thunderbolt or even usb 3.0 for your media drives (7200rpm preferred). That’ll do everything you want CS6 to do and more.

What about the Graphics card… NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M is what they come with. I would say they must be ok!!!
