Mostly C100/5D as the B camera and FS5/a7S II as the B camera. All Canon or all Sony makes for shot matching ease of use.

I’m down to about 10% of the stuff being for TV. It’s all for the internets.

And I’m heavily into Adobe Stock with shared libraries for any stock footage or stock photography. Clients are all onboard with that workflow.

Yeah, that might mess things up. I would use Prelude and do a Transfer with Renaming. Real quick for a simple rename of an AVCHD structure. I use File Name + Job Name all the time. An added benefit is you can pick just what shots you want and it will create an AVCHD structure with just those shots.

Try nesting the title with the lowered opacity applied then apply the dissolve effect to that.

It just sounds like you opened a multicam clip in its own timeline. Your edited timeline should still be there.

  • Very first field on the Sequence Settings screen is “Editing Mode”. Set this custom and then set whatever output dimensions you want.

I do this with Opacity masks. Handy feature that goes overlooked.

  • Make the copies, transcode, make proxies (if you want) and rename from Prelude. So much easier. I like DNxHR and Cineform over QT these days, but that’s mostly to stay cross-platform. If that’s not an issue, all of those are great.

  • I gotta disagree with Tero. Speedgrade is getting better and better with each new release. Now, I’m ecstatic with what Lumetri allows me to do directly in PPRO. Ecstatic. But I’ve been getting a ton of SLOG3 footage lately and to do it justice it has to go to a full color correcting program. Cutting in PPRO and just sending it over there and back again is easier than ever. Then exporting all those .looks so they can be used again is a total bonus.
