  • Save As in Title Tool

Many times I’m make up a graphic in title tool that is revealed in multiple parts.

    EXAMPLE:

Tile part 1- People should be

Title part 2- People should be innovative

Title part 3- People should be innovative while sleeping.

The only way I can see to do this is to create the last part first with all the words, duplicate that title for each reveal, then edit each title.

Is there a way to type part 1 and save, add words and save, add words and save again – without creating piles of duplicates in my titles bin?

    Innovative thoughts would be appreciated.

    Eric

    Many thanks.

That is pretty much the best way to do it in the Title Tool. There is no “Save As” function in it.

But you can also crank these out easily in After Effects. Download the freebie effects from graymachine (https://www.graymachine.com/tutorials/graymachine-super-awesome-presets-1/) and use his bullet point-making goodies.

Super easy to use, plus you can add some motion. Takes little time to render. I use them a lot for simple bullet lists.

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2014 (as of 7/2015)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from HD MP4 and P2 MXF.

I do this with Opacity masks. Handy feature that goes overlooked.
