THanks for the replay but no thats not is – sorry i didnt explain it better. Basically to simplify it if you have a clip with audio on video and audio tracks 1 and you click on the video part and move it to video track 2 – only the video moves to a new track, the audio stays on the original track. What i want is for the audio to move to a different track along with the video at the same time exactly like it does if you pull a clip from the bin. From the bin what ever number track you place it on, the audio will go to the same numbered audio track.
Any ideas?

Im going to take a wild stab in the dark here and am thinking the tech was reffering to adobe applications being installed on a raid system. Their is a well known issue for registration on this set up and its not a plug in – its a patch to fix the problem. You cant download it from anywhere, you need to request it be emailed to you by contacting Adobe support.
Hoep this helps

Glad to hear the good reviews. Essentially this was the plug in I was waiting for to justify buying a new dual core, dual CPU Xeon PC. One thing I was wondering though was with ram. Is there a general rule when using nucleo Pro as to the amount of optimal ram per core?
Given Nucleo is very ram hungry, is 2gig per core the best way to go? How would this impact a PC given 4gig is the limit unless you go to XP64bit?
THanks in advance

June 28, 2006 at 12:47 am in reply to: Raid 1 interfering with Production Studio Activation? Not sure which ‘horn’ you’ve been on but this is a well documented and widely known issue with Adobe software installed on a raid system drive. All you need to do is call them and get a patch which will fix the poblem.

LOL – thanks Steve, glad Im not the only one. Can you say, just hypothetically, would it be a workable idea? Like would a similar plug in with some of the features of Nucleo Pro be possable for an editor workflow within Premiere Pro (or any editing application for that matter)?
I guess we will just have to wait and hope.

Well Im very curious to know if their is any development in the works that will see a similar plug in for Premiere Pro2. I mean that whole background rendering and commit to disk would be a godsend to the Ppro workflow and on a dual dual core system could mean amlost everything you do is full quality realtime all the time (or close enough to it)
Man if I was Adobe I would be throwing huge gobs of money at Gridiron to integrate this into as many of their applications as required.
So Steve anything you can share with us regarding a Ppro solution?

Thanks Peter – Since then I have also read on the Adobe website that Ppro2 supposedly processes effects and CC in a 32bit workspace but it was just a marketing blurb and did not elaborate or go into any detail.

OK I found a solution, although its not that fun. Basically you can simply disable the blackmagic card but you need to do it from the sound, video and game controller section of the Device manager. Reboot and edius wil now load.
Of course this means you cant use edius and say after effects or ppro with the Decklink card but for me why hell would you want to. My whole reason for upgrading to the decklink was to leave behind Edius and their crappy, buggy, underfeatured software for a real pro, real world solution.
I only have a handful of Edius projects I need to access briefly so this will do me fine.
