    Help! Help! Help!

Six days ago I just received a new computer built with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800 processor; 2 gig of ram; a 160 gig SATA drive and two 250 gig SATA drives in a Raid 1 configuration. I bought the computer primarily to run the Production Studio which I purchased about 6 weeks ago but have never installed.

Last Wednesday I installed the production studio. The installation went smoothly. However, when I launched PP2 I got the following message: “The license configuration for Adobe Production Studio is no longer useable.”

I’ve been “on the horn” several times with Adobe and have been waiting for about 5 days now with no resolution. The first tech I talked to seemed to think that the Raid 1 was somehow making the software think that the program had been installed several times previously.

Does ANYONE have some idea what this is all about and can you suggest a solution? I just spent 6 grand on a toy that won’t work.

Not sure which ‘horn’ you’ve been on but this is a well documented and widely known issue with Adobe software installed on a raid system drive. All you need to do is call them and get a patch which will fix the poblem.

Thanks. I didn’t know that it was “well known.” However, Adobe has given me two patches and neither have been successful.
