  • I find that very strange. I can’t say I have noticed any latency when I, let’s say, make curve adjustments.

Automator could do the job quite fast. I don’t know the exact file name, but here’s what I’d do..

EDIT!! I just remembered that if you select FOLDER instead of FILES in the first part of the workflow/app made with Automator, you can select a folder instead of each individual file with the “-v” in it. Makes it even easier to use!

  • For playback, yes, I’m getting some delay from I press play or stop until something actually happens. As for normal use – adjusting the colors in frame, I can’t see I have much delay. Might be some, but not critical.

The internal scopes eats up your performance – it’s not worth using if you’re after real time playback.

I have an early 2009 with the basic 2.26GHz setup.. 6GB RAM, GT120+GTX285, Decklink HD Extreme 3D and RocketRAID eSATA with a 4TB array in RAID0 to gain as much speed as possible.

The few times I hit the wall in regards of performance is with RED RAW at medium or full quality, 2K and 4K DPX. SD and HD (24, 25, 30 and 50fps) in any format has been no problem.

I sometimes find it necessary to switch on and off the proxy mode because the controls get a bit slow over time. Switching proxy on/off fixes this though.

How about the newest Mac OS update? Will Resolve play nice with it? There were posts about Resolve being unusual unstable with the newest update.

I haven’t dug into this feature, and probably never will.. Isn’t there anywhere you can select what port to be used for communication? If so it should be a quick fix through the router and firewalls to open that port and forward it to the mac with IP “xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx” in your local network.

Not that I know of, but it shouldn’t be impossible to pay some of us that use DaVinci Resolve a visit.

I don’t know anyone else in Norway who’s using Resolve though.
