The way nucleo is going now, I’d say pick up the standard version of it and see if you like it (its a very reasonable price). If you get a big performance boost (it might not be big, but you will get a boost depending on your CPUs), go for pro. Pro’s nicest attribute is the background renderer — render while you work. Standard nucleo has saved my tail a few times already, cracking 15 hour renders down to around 3 or 4 hours. But then again I’m lucky enough to be on a G5 quad with 8 gigs of memory.
