any codec advice for batch converting and re-linking?

Sounds normal. I’m working on a program that involves on or about a hundred layer per scene, including DOF and motion blur. Top it off with some grain and CC toner, some renders have taken 48hrs (about 30 seconds of footage) — in SD.
Lights with shadows are HAYMAKERS. Be careful with them. Especially if you start to use more than one light emitting a shadow.

If planes sit in the EXACT same space in 3d in AE, we get a flickering problem. Shift it a few pixels.
Try to reduce the size also…maybe reduce it to 25% of its size then up the scale in AE….it depends on how much detail you need though… -

It is very fast. I’ve been nothing but happy with it. One task run VERY slow, and I don’t know why, so I just do it on another machine —
Soundkeys runs SUPER DOOPER slow, (like 15/20 seconds to calculate each frame), but it’ll fly on my dual 2.7 os x machine. That seems to be the only slow effect though, which is maybe because it is more of a calculator than an actual effect. For its overall speed, who cares. Shine/starglow/particular may as well be running in realtime.I’d recommend one. They work great. Had a few bios problems in the beginning, and they still come up, should clear up when leopard comes out.

Check out fieldskit, its only 89 bucks — maybe it’ll give you the plug-in closure you need. What kind of project is this? Television? Tradeshow? Self Promotion?

That I don’t know. It was burnt to a DVD and sent to me.
I think I’ll just convert through compressor. -
Its strange because in FCP it will play, and it will play in AE, but it just won’t play in quicktime.
I’m using quicktime v7.1.2 pro, in os 10.4.7. -

August 7, 2006 at 12:48 pm in reply to: Deinterlacing HD in AE – is DVfilm or MB better ?People have been de-interlacing in AE for a long time via the INTERPRET FOOTAGE option. Check Andrew Kramer’s tutorial:
https://www.creativecow.net/articles/kramer_andrew/deinterlace/deinterlace.html its a different approach instead of telling ae to read upper or lower frame first. The other option you have posted are great products, with great color tools as well, but why pay for the cow when you can get the milk for free? -
If you have the new particular, set up a light to follow your bees exact position, and then use the MOTION PATH option.
The particles will follow the bee, and if you set the life properly, they will dissolve through time.If the comp is only 2d (3d won’t work), then I’d say use a null and some simple pickwhip expressions so the nulls position is EXACTLY the same as the bees, and then keyframe assistant/convert expression to keyframes. Select all of those keyframes and copy them. Create a new layer the size of your composition, and use the pen tool to make a SINGLE point. Bring up your mask options and place a keyframe on ‘mask shape.’ Select the keyframe, and then paste the keyframes from the position. I’d say use vegas to make a flowing trail behind it, use it as an alpha, a glow trail, whatever you want, but most importantly just for reference behind the bee.
I’m sure this could be done about fifty different ways, but thats my approach.
