Deinterlacing HD in AE – is DVfilm or MB better ?
Posted by David Del on August 7, 2006 at 1:26 amRight now on a tighter budget, I was thinking of just deinterlacing my HD footage with AE, but if I am going to get a substantially better picture with DVfilm or MB, I will have to go the other route. Any suggestions?

https://www.creativecow.net/articles/kramer_andrew/deinterlace/deinterlace.html its a different approach instead of telling ae to read upper or lower frame first. The other option you have posted are great products, with great color tools as well, but why pay for the cow when you can get the milk for free? -

Check out fieldskit, its only 89 bucks — maybe it’ll give you the plug-in closure you need. What kind of project is this? Television? Tradeshow? Self Promotion?

Since then a couple of other solutions arrived, like Magic Bullet.
If it’s just de-interlacing you’re looking for, my recommendation is FieldsKit.
