I’m getting this error still. 3d shape layers parented to 3d nulls that are scaling and rotating are fine — the shadow casting from a spotlight is triggering the error. Running Ae 12.2.

Yes! I tried that. Didn’t help. Or if it did, it exceeded my render budget/time and I had to cancel it before it could get any farther.

Wound up rebuilding the material, it was included in some package from somewhere. Running it through TR right now. Keep you posted.

Hey Brian thanks for your feedback.

I tried all different formats, tried isolating computers via team render, and it seems that the bug is somewhere in the Transparency channel.

I started checking on and off channels in the texture, and the blocks only appear when Transparency is enabled. Also, there are multiple pieces of geometry in the top piece that is flickering, I’m trying to merge them together today to see if that helps.

You can do the 1 pixel move, or, if you put a 2d adjustment layer between 3d layers that are flickering, it will force one to render on top of the other.

We use the adjustment layer method if the comps were to complicated with 3d layers, and moving one pixel would cause a catastrophe.

Any way to have it link to a GUI item instead of having to jump into Xpresso?

I piped the Start frame (Frame User Data) to Input Lower and Finish frame (Frame User Data) to Input Upper, and set Time (Frame) to the Input of the Range mapper…and the cube jumps around a few frames. (Motext object is only to see what sort of data is resulting)

Our IT department contacted Adobe — they promised to get back to us in 24-48 hours — we still haven’t heard anything back.

If anyone from Adobe out there can get ahold of me to contact our IT lead — it would be very helpful.
