Basically, you need to reconstruct the room in three dimensions — to make a model of the room out of flat planes.

In AE, every object on a separate plane needs to be a separate layer. The picture on a wall does not have to be separate from the wall layer, but every plane needs to be a separate layer. You need to take the drawing into photoshop and cut out every separate thing into separate layers. I can’t be more specific since I can’t see the drawing.

Throw in some DOF as Nicholastoth suggests and your good to go.

As stated, don’t forget motion blur and dof. It adds realism.

Secondly, when designing the scene, I’d advise using the CUSTOM VIEW tab below the viewer. It orbits keeping the scene in focus — vs. gazing around like a camera does. Toggle pan/zoom/orbit using the C button.
