Do they playback ‘jerky’ on more than one computer?
I got caught in an endless loop, trying to successfully encode some FLVs which kept playing back with stepping, no matter what, only to find they were encoded fine – it was my computer that played them back badly.

Some news direct from Tonga:

There are four TV stations in Tonga and two are broadcasting in NTSC and
Two in PAL system format.

Most homes have Multi-system VCRs and sending the tapes in either format
will be able to be played here in Tonga.

… So how do define that on a list …???

Incidentally, that came from the Chief Engineer at Tonga Broacasting Commission.
I got his details from the internet (Go Google!) rang him from many thousands of miles away.
I missed him, though, as the time difference meant it was after hours.
So I sent him an email with a few simple questions, and he promptly and politely replied, giving me all the information I needed.

Will the people viewing this/these files have QuickTime7?
Our experience is that you have to assume PC users won’t have QT7 if any QT at all, making H264 files unreadable.
We publish on the Web using Flash files or WMVs, for universality.

Yes, always be wary of deleting files.
Note however, you will be warned when you try to delete a clip which is used by a sequence.
(Not so for any clips NOT used in any sequences!)

If you feel sure you’ve authored it correctly and that it is a burning/writing issue, and you have a client breathing down your neck, can you save it as a disc image (.img file) copy it to an external HDD and take it to someone else to burn?
That may help you meet this client’s deadline until you sort out the problem…
