Has anyone got (a www link would be great) a definitive and up-to-date list of television standards in all countries?
There are many online, though they seem to be copies from one of 2 sources.
(… What is Fiji? some list it as PAL and some as NTSC!)
and on most lists, there are many countries missing.

I assume there must be a near-definitive list from someone like SMPTE or EBU or the like …

    any thoughts …?

    P.S.
It must confusing, especially when you see this, from Tonga:
“A3MTV7 Broadcasts both on NTSC (US Television) and PAL (Australia/NZ Television) which is a major benefit for Tongans who primarily rely on gifted television sets from overseas relatives. NTSC is broadcast on NTSC Channel 7, while PAL is broadcast PAL channel 9.”

So what do you put Tonga under ?!?

[Post Man] “So what do you put Tonga under ?!?”

I’d put them on the list for TWO DUBS.

    Some news direct from Tonga:

There are four TV stations in Tonga and two are broadcasting in NTSC and
    Two in PAL system format.

Most homes have Multi-system VCRs and sending the tapes in either format
will be able to be played here in Tonga.

… So how do define that on a list …???

Incidentally, that came from the Chief Engineer at Tonga Broacasting Commission.
I got his details from the internet (Go Google!) rang him from many thousands of miles away.
I missed him, though, as the time difference meant it was after hours.
So I sent him an email with a few simple questions, and he promptly and politely replied, giving me all the information I needed.

The world can be a very small and friendly place sometimes.
