  • Hi Guys
I haven’t tested this theory out yet but ….could it be when premiere hits 2gigs worth of preview renders that it decides to freeze. Cause when ot froze the other night …. I looked in premiere preview files and noticed that it was 2.1 gb of renders. We have only just hit this amount of renders so I thought It could be something like windows gets unstable at the 2gig mark. There is 2gigs ram in our system but I doubt that has anything to do with it. I’ll test this tonight.

    Hi
Its a bit of a “try it and see” situation with the multitude of pc motherboards out there. We got the approved asus a8n32deluxe and it was a battle to get it all working…but that was at the beginning of the year the drivers have solved all the installation problems with it now. The a8n32 is a cheap board we just put the biggest processor you can get in it(fx4800). unfortunatly Windows can only see and use 2gigs ram on our machine even when we had 4 in it.

Hi Yeah…. we noticed that aswell, we have a multibridge extreme with the dell 24 aswell. I think it has something to do with ram preview….cause when we look at footage in premiere pro2 that has a filter on it and needs to be rendered it has the same over saturated look. Let us know if you find a way of fixing it!

    Hi Bill
Just a side note….Ive noticed that premiere pro2 started to give us a few error messages for the first time, only once we put titles into the project….up till then it has been smooth sailing with prmiere pro2. We are leaving any titling work till the end to try and keep things stable as possible. Have you guys noticed this title instability?

    Hi sean
I tried nucleo on our multibridge extreme and it was twice as slow to render in AE as opposed to twice as fast ….Not sure what that means, but nucleo didnt like our system.

Yeah …. cant find them….maybe they arn’t out yet!

  • Hi
we have an a8n32 sli deluxe. It was a real nightmare to get it up and running. But we eventually did and it is running very stable in premiere(never crashed in 4 months). I was ready to try another motherboard when we first had problems but it finally worked great. We had to diable this function on it called blackmagic desktop.

I would be very scared to fork out a heap of cash on a board that wasnt certified. but if you do want to try it, and it doesn’t work you woulds be able to pick up an a8n32 and swap everything over. the a8n32 should be under $200 by now. Oh we have a multibridge extreme so it might be a different story but they are both pcie.
    good luck!
