Want to build system with Multibridge
Hello,
I tried to get a reply by writing to blackmagic through their website, but nobody responded. I have seen post by their reps here and maybe someone else may know the anwser to my question.
I want to build a new windows machine with a quad core 2 extreme qx6800, which I want to use a multibridge with. I would like to use the Asus P5W DH Deluxe motherboard, but this is not a board on the “approved” list.What are the chances that this board will work. I have a matrox card now, so I know how it goes with compatibility issues.
If there is anyone from blackmagic on this board please get back to me as I am looking to spend some $$$ soon.

Its a bit of a “try it and see” situation with the multitude of pc motherboards out there. We got the approved asus a8n32deluxe and it was a battle to get it all working…but that was at the beginning of the year the drivers have solved all the installation problems with it now. The a8n32 is a cheap board we just put the biggest processor you can get in it(fx4800). unfortunatly Windows can only see and use 2gigs ram on our machine even when we had 4 in it. -

The a8n32deluxe is a AMD board, so can’t really be compared to the board that I want to use which is an intel board.
Hopefully someone from blackmagic will get back to me, but so far it seems like they don’t care if they sell multibridge extreeme’s or not. I am also looking at the Matrox X2 as I have a RTX100 that has served me well, the only thing is that I would like to have the SDI in’s and out’s for the future.Anyone here from blackmagic??? I tried your website but got no response, anyone?
