Any one had this problem? It only seemed to do this on the last couple of driver releases. Before that it never happened. We are editing on 8bit hd mjpeg mode.
Any thoughts? Our project is about half an our in length.

This is the same problem I’ve had since the last driver upgrade. Only it happens when importing and/or editing DV using Blackmagic codecs.

I’m not using Multibridge, but I’ve been getting random freezes, editing 10-bit uncompressed SD with PPro 2. The freezes occur during Saves, etc., locking up the system, requiring hitting the re-set button on the main box. No freezes since going back to 5.6. Me thinks something’s awry with the latest drivers.

Yeah…couldn’t sleep tonight (had this issue and others on my mind…Like what to get mt wife for Christmas!) so I think I’ll get rid of the latest drivers and reload an older version to see if that fixes the problem. Also, I noticed that a lot (not all) of my footage seems a little soft in the focus. My Ike camera is fine…its just strange…even a package I had on DVD-ROM and relaoded in for a show this week had some scenes that were soft-focused. Not all, but just some. Isn’t life grand!

    Hi Guys
I haven’t tested this theory out yet but ….could it be when premiere hits 2gigs worth of preview renders that it decides to freeze. Cause when ot froze the other night …. I looked in premiere preview files and noticed that it was 2.1 gb of renders. We have only just hit this amount of renders so I thought It could be something like windows gets unstable at the 2gig mark. There is 2gigs ram in our system but I doubt that has anything to do with it. I’ll test this tonight.
