    Hi guys
Just got some xlr to rca converter plugs for the multibridge extreme and pluged my ear phone into them….And it was really load. When I plug the earphones them into the rca output of the mbe its sounds normal. Does the xlr outputs boost the output automaticly for a mixer or something?

    thanks
    Miles

the XLR output is a professional level output – it is 14dB higher than a consumer RCA output. This is why I always tell everyone to get a MIXER, so you can adjust your levels. IF you want to see a set of powered speakers blow up real fast, directly plug the output of the BMD into the powered speakers without a mixer or attenuator in between. This difference in levels (-10 to +4dB, or consumer to professional levels) has been this way long before computer editing (and I mean even linear editing) was invented.
