    1-4; You may have the old and corrupt Prefernce file causing some of this. Hold down the Shift and CTRL keys while Premiere starts and then reset your preferences.
    5. Audio Effects>Stereo try “Fill Right”. If that leaves you with no audio then CTRL+Z (undo) and Fill Left.

    There is a speaker icon for each track in the mixer window, which can mute a track, but also turns off the VU display for that track. If you can see the VU jumping, then possbly the problem is your “Playback” settings (Project settings>general) or your DV speakers)

    Sounds like a recipe for disaster, Even if you played a shell game with drive letters and let Pro “offline” the missing files, at some point you will need both drives installed to export your project. Get an external HD and “add” it to your PC.

    If the video is ahead of the audio, you may have dropped 2 video frames on capture. A hard drive too full or fragmented or distracted by another task.

    Recorded DVDs have about a 5% incompatibility causing your symptoms and others. Factors include media brand, early model players, stick on labels, high bitrate encoding.
    Try another brand of media and a different player.

    I suspect the problem is your 24p footage, but have not fooled with the stuff.
    Preview files are not used in the export process.

    That might work, if the versions of Boris, etc are for Pro 1.5 and not limited to 6.5 or 7.0/1.0 because the folder structure changed with 1.5 as noted above.

    Did you delete the FX effects from each clip in your timeline?

    The Particle Illusion video resolution may not match your project settings, but still should not take very long….use the work area bar to isolate half your project and note projected render times, then use the half and half again ritual to isolate the problem child.

    I doubt that they will work, even if you can copy paste them from your 6.5 plug-ins folder to the correct folder in 1.5;
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Premiere Pro 1.5\\Plug-ins\en_US
