This is something that just happened to me for the first time: I was captuing analog video into premiere through a TBC unit. This method of capturing is something I do about 10 to 15 times a day so I know the problem is not there. Once I completed capturing I allowed the audio to conform competely, but when I draged the new clip to the timeline, the audio and the video were about 2 frames out of sync. It is such a tiny difference that I didn’t even notice it at first but it is definately 2 frames off. I’ve seen it happen before where the audio doesn’t conform correctly and it starts over about half way through, but this was 2 frames off throughout the entire clip. I checked the original tape (VHS) and it was fine so the problem definatly happened somewhere within premiere. I am just wondering if anyone else ever has had this problem before or maybe knows how to fix it.

If the video is ahead of the audio, you may have dropped 2 video frames on capture. A hard drive too full or fragmented or distracted by another task.
