HP media Center,AMD 3400 512ram standalone PC (no Matrox or anything)2 HD 260g available.

Im having others worries after I restore the PC and installed Premiere.
This is the first time I’m working with the Pc after restore.

1- I’m not able to capture by scene detection. (It says DV tape dont have date) It does have of course!
2- Control D don’t work… despite the dissolve is selected as default. If I drag the transition to the TL I can see the icon but when playing back the video there is not any transition at all. The video pass-thru w/o any effect.
3- Shift control D don’t work either… and I can’t drag the audio cross fade to the timeline. (X) appear.

4- Transitions (dissolves)sometimes works (only by dragging down) but are jumpy

This was not happening before the restore… It was working like a charm… so I’m wondering what I need to set-up to avoid all this problems.

5- One more question: I used a Mic where only the right ch. was recorded during the toss. How I can add the same audio to the left channel?? or convert it to mono so I can hear the audio from both speakers??

    thanks for any help

1-4; You may have the old and corrupt Prefernce file causing some of this. Hold down the Shift and CTRL keys while Premiere starts and then reset your preferences.
    5. Audio Effects>Stereo try “Fill Right”. If that leaves you with no audio then CTRL+Z (undo) and Fill Left.
