Two hour doc, busted in half. DV capture/Panny 24p template. FilmFX 3rd party plugin scattered through. Lots of short edits and some 1024x stills with motion pushes. I’m trying to attach the two parts back together and cannot get part two to load. It hangs 3/4 of the way through “Importing Files”. Tried Project Manager to clean the parts but I get “Unknown Error”. Tried Exporting to any number of files types – failed with “Unknown Error”. Next steps to remove the FilmFX and stills. Any clues on how to find more on the great “Unkown”?

    Thanks.

Suspect Film FX. I have used Hollywood FX and Pro wont export and file type except Microsoft DV.avi

Stripped out all third party plugs. Only CC and some Motion remain.
All exports show “generic error”. Importing into another project fails. Should I eliminate previews and conformed audio files? I’m clueless on the cause of this…

Did you delete the FX effects from each clip in your timeline?

Yes. And uninstalled the plugin. That’s why I wondering if there are traces in the preview files. Everything else is plain vanilla. Thanks for taking the time. I appreciate the help.

I suspect the problem is your 24p footage, but have not fooled with the stuff.
Preview files are not used in the export process.

Ran out of time, but I’ve saved care of Tim Duncan’s not to Satish’s Frameserver. Exported to Vegas as a complete avi, rendered out and reimported to Ppro. Not the best solution, but a solution none the less.

    Check it out. Nice tool.
