    Hello

I opened the audio mixer and was playing around and then I closed it….now no sound during playback..if you scrub backwards you can hear the music and voices but if you play it no sound…I went back to the mixer and all the levels were set at zero…any ideas? Did I accidently hit the “mute” button?

There is a speaker icon for each track in the mixer window, which can mute a track, but also turns off the VU display for that track. If you can see the VU jumping, then possbly the problem is your “Playback” settings (Project settings>general) or your DV speakers)

    I posted this above…

When your scrubbing Premiere is using your Sound card in the PC for audio. During playback it is sending the audio through the DV port. In the upper right corner of the preview window there is a little circle with a right pointing arrow. Click on that and select “Playback Settings”. In the drop down menu select “Play Audio on Audio Hardware”. This will tell Premiere to route the playback audio to the computers sound card.
