    Hi,

I posted a question on the 14th July regarding poor quality output on to DVD.

We’ll I’d like to thank everyone for there replys as I’ve finally made some progress regarding the quality and now it’s much better.

The only problem now is the DVD sticks and jumps whilst in the player. I’ve exported it at “PAL DV 16×9 Low quality 6Mb VBR 2 Pass”. I know some one mentioned about not exporting above 9Mb, so I thought it would be OK at 6Mb. Can anyone throw some light on this one or has anyone experienced a similar problem?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Bruce.

Recorded DVDs have about a 5% incompatibility causing your symptoms and others. Factors include media brand, early model players, stick on labels, high bitrate encoding.
Try another brand of media and a different player.

    Bruce,

One other thing to try is to burn the disc at 1x instead of 4X (or faster). This sometimes helps with questionable quality media.
