Render it as an uncompressed avi. Go into the Custom > Video tab and make sure that “render alpha channel” is selected.

I’ve had a lot of musician friends tell me the biggest problem with the metronome track in Vegas (unlike apps like Logic Audio) is that it’s just there and that, short of disabling it, there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it 🙁

I checked several different sites and they all said NTSC for South Korea.

PAL is 50Hz and NTSC is 60Hz (actually 59.94) so you can’t do this unless you have a camera with a “clearscan” (or similar) shutter mode. This allows you to set the shutter so that it matches the screen being shot. Hopefully you’ll have LCD or plasma monitors to shoot from.
Also, you’ll get flicker from any flourescent lights as well, much more than you normally would, due to the 50 vs. 60 Hz issue. -
If the final output is for computer, then apply the Studio RGB to Computer RGB for video clips. If it’s meant for TV, then apply the Computer RGB to Studio RGB to stills & generated media.
This is because stills/generated media use the full 0-255 range and video is only 16-235.

Try dropping the white levels to 235-235-235 (max for digital video) and see if this helps.

Another option (assuming your camcorder does pass through) is to firewire it to your camcorder and then use the analog outs to feed your monitor/TV.

Audio needs to come from your soundcard’s output as it doesn’t get passed via firewire (to an external monitor, that is).

Not greyed out in Vegas here either.

For your lack of custom options, try this tip from Edward Troxel’s Vegas FAQ:

If it is not “CurrentKey” or “InstFlags”, get rid of it.
***************************************************************For #2, you’ll need to render the audio using the AC-3 template. As long as you put it in the same folder as the mpeg-2 file, DVDA will automatically load the audio as soon as you select the video stream.
