Will the standard size cd port in an imac be able to accept a small disc like that?

I’ve never used an imac but I see no reason why it won’t work. To the best of my knowledge, all CD players are designed to play all sizes of CDs.

If I used an imac to save the software from disc to thumbdrive would it work on my PC?

As long as the thumbdrive is properly formatted (exFAT or NTFS, preferably done on your PC), there’s no reason why it won’t work. All you’re doing is copying files.

My pc is only 2 years old and it doesn’t have a cd drive

You must know someone with a PC that has a CD drive. Copy the contents of the CD to a USB stick and use that to install the software on your computer. Once that’s done, the guy on this video does a decent (but somewhat long winded) explanation of setting up the software and capturing your video. Good luck!

Dave, what’s the make and model of your AV/USB capture device?

  • See if this suggestion from an old post on another forum helps.

One method is to place the speaker on one or more tracks.
With one copy use the ExpressFX Chorus. Start with Fast Heavy Chorus
Size 2, Rate around 6 and around 20% depth.
Add Pitch Shift FX adjust each copy track either lower or higher depending on
the speaker’s voice and click preserve duration box.
Adjust the “chorus” of tones volume down so you can still
    understand the main speaker’s track.

Try adding this FX chain and see if it works for you. Good luck!

Put 3 filters, a “Invert” (at 100%), “Color Corrector”, “Invert” (at 100%).

Then, lift up the gamma of the color corrector in the middle.

This darkens highlights first, in the logarithmic fashion, more like a “iris closing” way.

You can also put a color corrector secondary to select reds and lower the gamma a bit.

That may be a bug that was fixed in a later update. The last version of Magix Vegas 14 (it stopped being Sony Vegas at version Pro 13) was build 270. You can download it at https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/proxy/43f31a9ebaa3f7f1b66a/?link=http%3A//dl04.magix.net/2016/VEGASPro14/VEGAS_Pro_14.0.0.270_Trial.exe

See if this tutorial is of any help. It’s designed to scroll horizontally but shouldn’t be too hard to get it to scroll vertically like you want to.

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/vegas-pro-forum/ is my go to forum. Lots of knowledgeable users with periodic visits from MAJIX employees.
There are stickies at the top of the page to check out first. Then do a forum search. If you still need help log in and ask your question.
    Good luck.

  • David, I have no idea. You asked about chapter markers and this was the only info I could find on that topic. My suggestion is to ask your question on the thread I posted. It’s an older one but most of the posters are still active and should be able to help you. If you’re not on that forum it’s very easy to register. I hope you find the answer you’re looking for.
