  • Tips on making a voice sound robotic in Vegas Pro?

I know this question is more apt for an audio editing suite, but I live and breathe Vegas since 2004 so why change things now for me.

Post title says it all – doing some light post production audio editing on some voice overs, just want to know what good effects or free plug-ins I could find to create a futuristic reverb or such (doesn’t have to be an echo) to the actress’ voice to give it that feel of a robot from the future talking to you.

    Thanks!

See if this suggestion from an old post on another forum helps.

One method is to place the speaker on one or more tracks.
With one copy use the ExpressFX Chorus. Start with Fast Heavy Chorus
Size 2, Rate around 6 and around 20% depth.
Add Pitch Shift FX adjust each copy track either lower or higher depending on
the speaker’s voice and click preserve duration box.
Adjust the “chorus” of tones volume down so you can still
    understand the main speaker’s track.
