Assuming studio is similar to the full version, it defaults to a rectangle outline.
To change this behaviour in DVD Architect, I would click on the button in the menu screen and then change it in Highlight option on the Menu Page Properties window. -

Trust me when I say that a lot of newbies would be very happy if you were to do a brief “How I did it” tutorial.
It would also give us a place to send them to when they had questions about doing bezier masks. -

I worked on a much more powerful system (dpsVelocity) for years.
While it had some excellent features (the real-time render being one of them), it’s audio capabilities fell far short of what Vegas was capable of right from version 1.0 -
655 x 480 is the max still res that you can get out of Vegas on a standard definition project 🙁
I’ve forgotten the rationale but it has something to do with the aspect ratio issue.
A possible workaround would be to bring the video into another app (MediaPlayer Classic??)and try it there. -
Vegas 7 added a lot more HDV as well as XDCAM support.
Other than that, almost any tutorial done for any version of Vegas is directly applicable to the latest version.
Edward Troxel’s free newsletters (he’s one of the moderators here) are a great resource.
As Terje mentioned, Gary Kleiner (the other moderator) has a great series of DVDs that are also applicable.
In the meantime, if you do a YouTube search using sony vegas training, you’ll get a lot of hits.
Finally, Blue7 Media is a very comprehensive site with links to all kinds of Vegas sites. -
Do a Google search for possible solutions as a number of Vista users have reported problems trying to use Quicktime 🙁
