[Simon Laidlaw] ” I have today started a project on v12 but have just found out I won’t be able to use the final version as it is watermaked?!”

As has already been mentioned in this thread, pay for it and the watermark goes away.

  • Yes it can. Drop it on your Vegas timeline and render the audio and video out to whatever format(s) you want/need.

[Oğuz Acarca] “Have you got a keygen?”

You have to be kidding me 🙁
We don’t take very kindly to pirates on this forum.
If you don’t want to pay for the program, then forget about using it.
There are several versions of Movie Studio that are a lot cheaper (starting at $34 U.S.) and are a great way to learn how Vegas works.
When you’re ready to make the move to Vegas Pro, there are upgrade paths that will save you money.

It could also be a case of the drive being close to its capacity.
In either case, hard drives are very cheap these days so buy another one, just in case, and back this one up before doing anything to it.

No there isn’t. That’s why the manufacturer (in this case Sony) puts that up there. You should be grateful as some software companies refuse to let you even render a project when it’s in demo/trial mode.

My guess is that you’re running a trial version of Vegas Pro 12 and that this will disappear once you pay for it and get a serial number.

December 8, 2012 at 10:28 pm in reply to: Animation Codec for import to vegas?

[Brad Leigh] “Does a folder import act as a single clip in vegas?”

Yes it does and here’s the procedure.
File – Import – Media, browse to the folder where the images are, click on the first one in the sequence, click “Open still image sequence” at the bottom of this window, click Open, make any necessary adjustments in the tab that comes up and click OK.
The sequence will now be sitting in your Project Media waiting to be added to the timeline.

    “Does it bog vegas down?”

    Not that I’ve noticed.

“are the folder sizes going to get just insane?”

Odds are that doing it this way will be smaller than making it into an AVI or MOV file.
All I have at home for a reference is an SD project (300 TGA images) and it’s 40 MB. in size.

Can you output as a series of still images?
I get animation files and ask for them in TGA or PNG format (for alpha channel support).
Make sure they’re all in the same folder and properly sequentially numbered.
Then use the “import still image sequence” feature to bring them into Vegas as a single file.

Jim, I can reproduce this problem.
I recommend reporting this to Sony so that they can fix it ASAP.
