next time you should try an AAF from Pro Tools with the tracks.

    Try this:

Edit each track into a sequence with the order that you want 1-4. Make sure all tracks are of the same duration.

Go to the sequence in the bin and highlight. Then do an AutoSync. Sequence should become a subclip.

  • You can bring in either way.. SDI or FireWire. It ends up with the same result; a native 23.976 capture.

Set input as per connection to the deck.
    Set up deck configuration
    Select resolution
    Go to Film/24p settings:
    – CADENCE (NORNAL OR ADVANCED depending on what was shot)
    – TIMECODE to 00:00:00:00 relationship – active and set to “A”

    Capture away.

It’s a bug that is being fixed for SOundTC and other fields such as KeyKode, AuxTC, etc.

  • Field and frame removal can be done over FireWire, SDI, or analog. Just make sure the Film/24p Settings are correct for your cadence and timecode/cadence relationship.

There is no way to batch import from all bins at once. Were these clips created from an import file to start with? If so, you can always use those. And Automatic Duck would not work in this case either since it is based on sequences and you are doing all your source clips.

Very strange. What did you export with as far as timecode, footage, etc?

You can transcode your DV PAL to HD 720 or 1080 depending on the project type you are in. I did a similar thing on a feature I produced and edited last year. I would also suggest typing the following into the console:

    setresizetype 9

then do a return. This is uses a different uprez technique that I find a bit smoother quality wise.

Is the sequence the active monitor when you do the import?

Maker sure you are in a matchback project and also make sure you log the Pullin column to make accurate matchback calculations.
