P2 Export Full Resolution
I am currently working on a feature film shot on RED and Panasonic P2 cards. DVpal is the resolution which we have worked in
We are coming up to the Lock and which to export the P2 material in full resolution is this possible even though I am editing on PAL 25p? I want to export to at least 720p….

You can transcode your DV PAL to HD 720 or 1080 depending on the project type you are in. I did a similar thing on a feature I produced and edited last year. I would also suggest typing the following into the console:
setresizetype 9
then do a return. This is uses a different uprez technique that I find a bit smoother quality wise.

would I get better quality if I created an ALE from the DV material in the sequqnce and then relinked through an ALE to the 720 P2 material. Then export the sequence after that…..
