Is the 720p off of tape, or file based? If file based, was it 720p/23.976p or 720p/23.976pN?

When exporting out of MC, select Custom and you will have access to all the QT codecs as managed by Quicktime. If you have QuickTime Pro, you will have even more control. H.264 is part of that submenu section (options).

Anything being outout as a file for encoding to DVD needs to be rendered first if that his how you are making DVD’s. I use a DVD recorder and keep that in real time. You should be able to make the numbers quite large.

If you ilight the entire column you can do a “command-D or control D” and copy its entire contents to another column in one step.

Open the BWF is Wave Agent from Sound Devices (download from their site) and confirm the actual timecode recorded in the file.

You cannot apply an effect to a source clip. You can apply an effect to the source clip as a sequence then use sequence as source (drag to source monitor). You cannot apply an effect to an entire single V channel – only to a top tack that would affect all layers beneath it.

Yes, XML is a language with a defined format represented as Text. But Pro Tools does not support XML, it does do OMF and AAF. I am curious to know why there is a request for the XML. Pro Tools does support iXML which is the defined specification of the file based production audio recorders.

Once authorized, you can move the laptop anywhere you want. Perhaps it is referring to the enthernet connection as in hardware within the system since it uses that as part of the unique identification.
