    Ok,

I’m working in a 23.98 project. I want to output a DVD our music composer can reference the 24fr code we have in our sequence. So I went to the TC effect and put that on the top layer. Rendered it out, which took double the duration of the cut. And I now have visible, refrencable TC. However, the window, even using the “Large 37” setting, is tiny. The frame numbers get blurry even when paused on the NTSC DVD.

Is there any easy way to make this window larger? What am I missing here?

Also, Is there a quicker way to slap a VIZ window with 24 fr. code onto a DVD within the AVID? i.e. not having to render it out? Is there a recommended plug-in that would work well on a MC v. 2.8.3?

    Thanks,

    DM

Anything being outout as a file for encoding to DVD needs to be rendered first if that his how you are making DVD’s. I use a DVD recorder and keep that in real time. You should be able to make the numbers quite large.

I think the OP is referring to the “old” TC plugin, which is not realtime (unless you can still find the unofficial RT version that floated around for a while).

I used to have some prefab clips with burnins at several hours in order to add them (as RT effect with a PIP) on a top layer.
