In my experience when XDCAM switches cards it can corrupt the file in witch it is writing at the time. Tell the shooter not let the camera switch on its own.

    Hope this helps-

I have provide many different types of files to clients for PP insertion. Customer knowledge will instruct you on which format and codec to use. For my general customer I use Mpeg-1. Most all PCs can play it but it isn’t the best image quality. For a more advanced user I’ll give them a WMV file. You can get much better looking video but you’ll need to buy software to compress on your Mac. For my most advanced customers I give them what they ask for, because they already know. Test it with your customer before committing to a path.

It will handle the edit. Question is the edit’s parameters. HD, DV or uncompressed? Effects, After Effects software compatibility with the Intel? Lot more that the edit. More info would help us understand your particular situation.

I use the easy setup for HDV. Works like a charm. What is your FCP version? What hardware are you trying to run it on?

Drag your 1.66 edit into a 16X9 timeline. Export and compress as 16X9. That is the closest your going to get.

    Hope this helps-
