    Hi guys

I get some errors when I’m trying to import XDCAM footage with XDCAM Transfer software.
Most of the clips are good, but some gives me this error:

Failed to import movie from file…

Anyone has an idea why I get this error?

I also couldn’t open the entire footage in Log & Transfer in FCP 7 – it crashed…

    Any help?

Have you tried running the U1 Drive Utility (if that’s what you use) to check the disc.

Failing that, have you tried using a different drive?

I tried to open them in clip browser 2.6, in XDCAM Transfer 2.12 – and nothing – the same error.

I don’t have the original cards – I got this footage from the producer a day after they shot the clips (they made the BU).

And another thing – the mp4 file that gave this error are 0kb…

You know if their a way to bring them to life? Or it’s done…?

    0kb? It’s done.

Ah you are using the cards for acquisition, not the disc XDCAM media.

You need to get your hands on the original media to have any chance.

In my experience when XDCAM switches cards it can corrupt the file in witch it is writing at the time. Tell the shooter not let the camera switch on its own.

    Hope this helps-
