Well, the real way is to record the audio with a boom mic with one of those expensive furry windjammers on it so you get very little wind noise to begin with. All noise reduction programs work based on frequencies, some work better than others because they filter more selectively.

When I have had this problem, it has been resolved by capturing with the same camera used to shoot the footage.

“good enough, quick way”: put the offending audio clips on their own track. Add graphic EQ and turn down the low frequencies until it starts to affect the voice. That will take a lot of it out.

I think this is what you want:
hold down the alt key and click and drag right on the clip in the timeline to slide the video within the clip. You can also do this over the boundary between two clips to change how much of the total duration each one gets.Mary Waitrovich

If you want to just use Vegas, there are a couple of ways.
One, you can hold an object as a handle and swing it around. Then put a track above that track, put a still of your light saber rod on and keyframe it with track motion to match. This is tedious but can look great.
Two, hold a blue or green rod and swing it. Then, chromakey it out and have your light saber color come though from the track below. I haven’t tried this method, but someone told me it works.A very important aspect of this is to download some good light saber sound effects to go with it.

to delete a section and close up the gap do this:
select the section you want to delete
click the ripple button in the menu bar to turn ripple editing on (choose all tracks, markers, etc. from the drop down near the button)
press CTRL-A to select all
hit delete
then don’t forget to turn ripple editing off when done -
The chromakeyer in Vegas is really good, unless like me you sometimes have problems properly lighting the background (separate from the subject, bright and perfectly even). I was able to save my a__ on an important project by using Serious Magic’s Ultra, a program just for chromakeying. It’s particularly good at getting rid of the jagged edges and background color reflections on the subject.

go back to flash and export with Flash player 5 settings. I think that’s it. Otherwise it may be a codec issue.
