Don’t rely on using the firewire buss to supply power to the unit, be sure to get an AC adapter for it. The one I used to use had a bad habit of blowing the Firewire card in my Mac if it was using power from the Firewire buss.
If you’re in Europe you’ll need to reset some of the DIP switches to handle PAL instead of NTSC.Mark Landman

You might try exporting your project from CC2014 as an XML or AAF file and then importing that into CC. You’ll probably have to redo some resizing and/or effects, but at least it’s a starting point.

I suppose you could uninstall the 2014 apps, install the CC apps and then reinstall the 2014 apps. Both versions can coexist on the same machine with no problems.

You could use the audio track mixer in Premiere. Add an Audio Submix track to your sequence, route all of your dialogue tracks to the submix and add the appropriate dynamics or compression filter to the submix.

I’m not sure about the 170, but on a 250 there is a user button (user 4) right under the card slots that functions as a card slot select button. I believe the 170 has a dedicated slot select button. Use the button to select the slot containing card 1 before you start recording.
