  • Premiere Pro CC (7.2) and Premiere Pro CC 2014 on same machine?

I’m in the process of setting up a new system drive for my MacBook Pro running OS 10.9.4 Mavericks. I downloaded the Creative Cloud install app and loaded the 2014 versions of the various programs. I would like to install the older version of Creative Cloud (Premiere CC 7.2) on the same machine. However, when I go to run an earlier version of the Creative Cloud install app it asks me if I want to revert to the earlier CC software and thus blow away the 2014 apps. Can you have both Premiere Pro CC (7.2) and Premiere Pro CC 2014 installed on the same machine? If so, how do you do it?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jamie

CC7 and CC14 can live happily together on one machine.

Is there an option to say “no”? You may have to install the old version first and then re-install CC2014.

I suppose you could uninstall the 2014 apps, install the CC apps and then reinstall the 2014 apps. Both versions can coexist on the same machine with no problems.

No no no. You can have both running on the same machine and it is easy. Just keep the newest version of the CC desktop app installed. Click the app from the menu bar and on the Apps tab, scroll down till you see “All Apps”. Click it and you should see a dropdown where you can select “previous versions”. From there you can install CC or even CS6

Thank you everyone. I found the following on Adobe’s site written by Kevin:

    https://blogs.adobe.com/kevinmonahan/2014/01/29/revert-to-a-previous-version-of-premiere-pro-cc-or-any-creative-cloud-application/

I was able to install the previous versions of CC alongside the 2014 versions.

    Cheers,
    Jamie
