I don’t have a 2019 MBP, but on my 13″ MPB the tilde key is the left-most key on the second row from the top – just below the ESC key and just above the TAB key.

A few years ago I had a problem with one of the hotkeys in Photoshop suddenly not working. The command editor or whatever Adobe calls it showed the correct keystrokes for the hotkey, but it didn’t work. Just for grins I tried changing the shortcut keys to something else and then changed it back again to the proper keystroke. IT WORKED-don’t ask me why. I suppose that the prefs file got corrupted or something like that.
It’s just a shot in the dark, but you might want to give it a try. It can’t hurt. If that doesn’t work, you might try trashing your FCPX prefs.

You can do it in DVD Studio Pro on a Mac. Put multiple audio tracks on the disc and use a menu to select which one to play. DVDSP was EOL’ed some time ago, so I don’t think it will run on the last few versions of the MacOS. I keep a disc with Mountain Lion for running it on.
I’m sure there are multiple programs on the PC side that will do what you need, but since I don’t run Windows I can’t speak to the specifics.

Try burning it on a different brand of media.

I’ve had a couple of cases where clients have had problems reading discs that were burned on a particular brand of media.. In one case a client brought in one of the discs she couldn’t play and it played fine on my gear. I burned the same files on a different brand of media and all was fine. Apparently certain players don’t like discs burned on certain brands of media. I haven’t been able to find any rhyme or reason to this.

I don’t use Squeeze, so I’m not familiar with that program. You can use your Mac to check the disc you already burned by single clicking on the disc icon then pressing apple-I to display the info window for the disc. It will show what format the disc is formatted as.

Here’s an example of a disc in UDF format:

Are you sure that it was burned as a UDF formatted disc and not a PC format? If it was burned as a PC format (or a Mac format) it will play in a computer, but not in a standalone player.

It’s my understanding that Resolve can be scripted in Python. Perhaps someone who knows more about scripting than I do would know if something like this can be scripted. (Repeat this clip X times, or repeat this clip to fill this much time, etc.)
