I must be doing something wrong because it is turning the background black and no film effect.

    Did I miss something?

Very informative. Thank you. One more question, is it better to buy 8x or 16x blank media. Does that generally make a difference or not?

Thank you. That worked..and no I never use the trimmer either so it shouldn’t be an issue.
    Thanks.

T-Y makes several different types of blanks DVDs so what was the specific model of disc you bought? It says “Taiyo Yuden 200 8x Inkjet Hub Print DVD-R Blank”
How old is your DVD burner? Less than 1 year
How long is the program you’re putting on the DVD? 2 hours
What MPEG-2 bitrate did you encode to from Vegas? Don’t remember I did it last fall and the customer brought in the original and needed more copies.
Are you using DVD Architect to author and burn the discs or are you using another app for burning? Originally I used DVD arch.

What is weird is I also was just burning a VHS to DVD on my DVD recorder and one of those skipped also. I just tried 3 more and they worked..could just be a fluke?

Thanks for the insight. I ran mine and got:
Everything the same except TYG02 instead of 03.
Would that make such a difference I wonder?

    Manufacturer ID : [TYG02]

I am using a DV Sniper made by Movie Stuff to transfer my reels.
    http://www.moviestuff.tv/
I should say they aren’t directly imported into Vegas there is another software Cinecap that adjusts the speed. From there is makes avi files that I import into Vegas.
I am pretty happy with the results..no flicker, easy to use etc. I used to use the projection method and constantly struggled with flickering even with adjustable speed. The other big problem was the room needed to be dark and it was so frustrating and time consuming.

I have searched, but can’t seem to find what I am looking for. What should I be searching under?

The drawings show up pretty acceptable when I made a dvd…

My primary concern is when people are doing a bulk marketing cd/dvd for a small business, what are they putting these on? CD or DVDs? I am afraid that most people would not have a computer that runs dvds…

Would it be a problem to put a MPEG-2 on a cd? It seems like that quality is pretty good.

(Not as good as Blue-Ray..but I am living in Backwater Wisconsin…most people think a Blue Ray is some time of fish 🙂

I am a Wisconsite, so I can say that.
