  • Have you checked the size of the particular jpeg file where you are having problems?
I had the same problem and discovered I was importing a jpeg file way too large for Sony to support.
Don’t know if that will help or not?

  • How do you get rid of that timecode once you put it in?

    I have Pro 8.
It is black in the preview window when I try to preview the media in the media bin.
It works just fine when I preview when the media is on the timeline.

Forget it, I figured it out. It was the settings. I thought I was adjusting audio/ but it was video. Somedays…

Thank you so much that made it so much better.
I ended up going through each “scene” rather than the whole reel and that made it better.
At least now, you can see the faces!

That was the problem.. somehow it was at Largest file size without me knowing it. Thanks for your help. It is now at 600 KB exactly what I need.

  • I figured it out… I had some files that my client gave to me on a flash drive… I should have know this and I am mad that I spent 2 hours on this..but the files were HUGE that along with the minor changes I had made made it crash. I resized all the files and now it is fine.

Thanks Rob, that is what I was thinking. But every time I learn something new, I realize there is so much I don’t know!
Each reel holds just about 1 hr 4 minutes so I will probably just stick to the 1 reel/cd. (Some of these reels are two sided also!)
The reels are really cool. The man I am doing it for, mother, used to sing on a radio show in the 1960’s. A lot of big band stuff. He is really excited to hear her on it.

  • Well, my solution.. It was 48 degrees, dark clouds, rain and more rain. Down poured and wind gusts. My main concern throughout the ceremony was keeping my equipment dry and hoping my unmanned camera wouldn’t blow over! The lighting was very good and not even a concern. No shadows or anything. I was the only one at the wedding happy to see the weather..although I agreed with everyone that the weather was “just awful.” Go figure.
My advice to future brides, never get married outside in Wisconsin.

  • Thank you for the advice. It is forecasting rain for tomorrow so maybe that will help? How bad is that for me, wishing rain on a friend’s wedding day? 🙂
